The courtyard at the Museum of Modern Art is a great place to rest after spending time looking at art inside the museum. Of course there's art right next to you here too but there's also more people. This couple seemed so happy together.

This couple were so stunning in their white wedding outfits. Hopefully, their marriage will be filled with happiness and long lasting.


And then there was the classic Frank Lloyd Wright white building... the Guggenhein!

Tulips Bloom in Windows

Actually tulips probably will bloom wherever there's moisture and cold weather. Here are some lovelies from our early morning walk in the West Village.


And here's a portion of another George Segal sculpture. There's a bench involved here too, much like at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Out at Christopher Park you can sit next to the couple who are on the bench, not like at MMoA.

George Segal's Three People and Four Benches sits on the second floor of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Surrounded by black tape it presents a challenge for security. Do people pay any attention to the almost invisible barrier? Some do, some don't. Those who don't are reminded by the security officer and if they get past security then the piercing sound from the motion detector lets them and everyone else know that they've breached the barrier. Much like Donald Judd's current sculpture at the Portland Art Museum, Segal's creation is veritable catnip!



And on a more surreal level, Max Ernst's portrait also mesmerizes.

Walking in NYC

The blog is on vacation. Here's a view of the Apple Store on W. 14 in Manhattan. Too bad the neighborhood association in Portland's Nob Hill area nixed the Apple Store twice. Instead we have a building that houses a bank and FedEx. Neither are bad but an Apple Computer store would have been a boom to the neighborhood. It would have definitely looked better than the Plaid Pantry there on Glisan and NW 23rd.

People on the Street

What a glorious day. Everyone was out enjoying themselves. First up is a woman at Director Park, followed by Michael who has been missing for sometime from the corner of SW 10th and Burnside. The people on NW 23rd were enjoying their tea and the sun on the steps at the corner of Johnson. Dream More everyone.
