Waiting for Lunch

Huong's Vietnamese food cart always attracts people. And you can't blame them. The aroma from where I'm standing just north of the cart is wonderful. It makes me hungry every time I walk by heading north. The sky was filled with clouds today, big beautiful clouds making the sky an ever changing canvas.

Korngold, Paul and Schnittke

Last night we attended a concert put on by Marzena. Musica Paradiso featured works by these three composers in addition to three other pieces by Britten, Morricone and Gorecki. The cello was featured in all of them except for Korngold and Paul. Justin Kagan, Uber-Cellisto and Coffee Roaster, played in all of the cello selections. Master work by all. Portals to the Underworld

This was the last reflection from today that reminded me of portals to the underworld. They're all over there on the flickr photosream. I'm still wondering who left this jug, orange and cigarette at the end of an industrial bay. The orange was barely visible from the street. The reflection and the shadow not at all. I'm thinking that if I had stayed too long I would have been pulled into the other world.

Tanner Springs Park

Peer over this fencing and there is an incredible oasis of quiet. See it between NW 10th and NW 11th and Marshall and Northrup.

Animals on Thurman

These two critters have fascinated me for weeks. It took a wet, cold day for me to stop in the rain to snap their gazes. What must they be thinking?

Super Saturday

Anthropologie Window

A great day... Pix galore on the Flicker site.

Spontaneous Song

Yes, this chorus of voices was going from street corner to street corner and also ended up at Pioneer Square. Their other picture below along with the UPS truck bathed in pink, and the colorful backpack resting on a trash container.

Wednesday Walk

The Band at SW 5th & Oak

The camera definitely enjoyed the walk today. Everyone was out, some of us sang and others of us enjoyed the performance. For the rest of the images from today (shown as a group below), click here.

Rainy Sunday

Definitely a rainy Sunday. After several forays out I decided to stay in with Alison.
